For the next phase of growth at THS.Academy, we are seeking a Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships who will build sustainable fundraising structures and develop strategic partnerships.

Who We Are

THS.Academy is a Christian pastoral training school with an international focus. Under its umbrella, initiatives such as THS.Homeschooling and Big Tree City are growing. Our goal is not to separate education and spiritual formation, but to intentionally connect the two.

We are Christ-centered in our work. Faith is not an addition for us, but the foundation of our thinking, learning, and actions. Our vision is to renew generations with courage, faith, and wisdom and to provide them with a solid spiritual and educational foundation.

As our initiatives continue to grow, the demands on our structural and financial stability are increasing. Therefore, the development and fundraising area must not only be expanded but strategically built.

The Role

We are looking for a person who will structure and build the development and fundraising area and take long-term responsibility for it. This role is central to the next phase of growth of our work.

This is not about managing existing processes, but about building sustainable structures and relationships.

Our initial goal is $50,000 in the first year, with a clear perspective for continued growth. The development area is currently not yet systematically established. This means that both strategic planning and operational implementation will be part of your responsibility.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Developing a comprehensive fundraising strategy
  • Identifying international major donors
  • Building a diversified donor portfolio
  • Developing scalable processes (including CRM structures)
  • Close coordination with leadership and communication teams

Operational

  • Personal meetings with potential supporters and donors
  • Maintaining and expanding existing relationships
  • Preparing funding proposals and grant applications
  • Traveling when necessary

You will work directly with the leadership of THS.Academy. Strategic decisions will initially be closely coordinated; as trust and experience grow, your scope of responsibility will expand.

Who We Are Looking For

This position requires spiritual maturity and personal integrity.

We expect a lived and authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, reflected in daily life and professional decisions. Active involvement in a Christian community or church is essential.

Ideally, you also bring the following qualities:

  • Strategic thinking and entrepreneurial understanding
  • Strong relationship-building skills and reliability
  • Confidence when interacting with entrepreneurs and decision-makers
  • Perseverance and a strong sense of responsibility
  • The ability to build long-term structures rather than focusing only on short-term results

Fluent English is required. German is desirable, and Spanish is an advantage.

Fundraising experience is helpful but not strictly required. More important is the ability to build trust, take responsibility, and work in a structured way.

We do not view fundraising as short-term fundraising campaigns, but as the development of sustainable partnerships. It is not about pressure or aggressive campaigns, but about trust, transparency, and shared conviction. Anyone working in this role represents not only a project but also our spiritual and organizational values.
