Hi, I'm ******** . I'm currently working full time as a senior designer at Exposure Marketing, organisers of the MamaMagic Baby Expo, but I'm ready for something new. I want to work from our home office full time. I have a 10 month old boy and I want to be able to see more of him, not just two hours at night. We have full time childcare so I'm able to focus during the day.
I lived in Germany from July 2011-July 2012, I worked as an Au Pair and German classes where mandatory. I have my B1 qualification and would like to make use of it. Because my native language is Afrikaans, I was able to pick up German fairly easily. I'm a bit out of practice but that can be easily remedied.
I have a BA in Visual Communication and my passions are layout work and illustration/pattern making. I majored in illustration and want to publish children's books and focus on surface pattern design eventually. I was lead designer for almost 30 issues of our baby and parenting magazine, MamaMagic Milestones, because of Covid we stopped printing the magazine and now just upload articles onto our platforms.

My husband and I are definitely considering moving back to Germany eventually, but finding new work through this platform will be a great start!
In my spare time I post about all things creative in my life under @schneckicreative. I'm also on a lot of print on demand websites, but haven't had time to give much attention to that in recent months.
